Sophia Ama Woode best known as SooFire, the �Ghanaian� way of pronouncing her name was born in Newark, NJ and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts by her Ghanaian parents. Her father best known as Nananom Soundz, DJ Woode was best friends with the late Highlife Legend CK Mann. Her father was one of the 1st Ghanaian DJ�s bringing African music into the American market booking gigs along the entire East Coast. He facilitated one of the 1st American collaboration with the �Pussy Cat Dolls� single �I Don�t Need A Man� released in 2005 sampling �Asafo Beesuon� from the album C.K Mann & Carousel 7�s.
SooFire is on a mission, not only is she continuing her father�s legacy in the African American music industry, she is also empowering her peers through Fashion & Music. SooFire is the 1st & Only Female Ghanaian DJ in Los Angeles
